A written exam serves as the first phase of the CDS exam. Candidates must receive an equal score to or higher than the cutoff marks to advance in the selection process. In all three papers, the minimum cutoff mark for CDS 2024 is 20%. The performance of the candidates in the written exam, the SSB interview, and the medical examination will be taken into account while creating the final merit list for CDS 2024. Following the completion of each of these phases, candidates will be hired for positions that UPSC determines are open for the Combined Defence Service test.
