    The Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme is managed by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, and provides a pathway for admission to undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), and other premier technical institutions in India. Foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) seeking admission through this scheme are required to participate in the DASA online counselling

    DASA is Direct Admission of Students Abroad. It is an initiative by the Ministry of Education. It provides admission to Persons of Indian Origin living abroad, NRIs, Children of Indian in the Gulf countries, and Overseas Citizens. The DASA informs about UG and PG programmes. There are various fields like Engineering, Architecture, Planning, etc. Ministry of Education has started the  admission process under the DASA scheme with Calcutta NIT.

    The full form of DASA is Direct Admission of Students Abroad. It is an initiative commenced by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It provides admission to Persons of Indian Origin living abroad (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf countries (CIWG), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) in the UG and PG programmes in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Planning, etc. This year, the MoE has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under the DASA scheme to the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC).
