What is difference between advocate and lawyer?

Dear Student, An Advocate is someone who is enrolled in any of the State Bar Councils in India. Once a lawyer exists on the roll of the State Bar Council and Bar Council of India, he/she will become an Advocate. This enrollment is a license to practice/appear in courts. After degree you can called as a Lawyer. If you want to kick start a successful career in law, it is important to get admission into a good law college.
