what is difference between Diploma and Certificate courses?

According to the UGC Diploma can consists of minimum 1 year of duration and Certificate is of less than one year from any Recognized University only.

Diploma for a course us Provided by Govt or Govt recognized Body While Certification Can be provided by any Company or Institute for Certain skill based Course
