What is early action deadline in universities in USA? Stanford's early action deadline is November 1st, what does it mean?

My SAT is on October 1, 2016 and after that, I'll give TOEFL. Will I be able to apply to Stanford university for early action?

Hi Sakshi, Early Action as the name suggests, you will be notified of the decisions in a month. Regular and non early action rounds take longer. Make sure you submit your entire application material if you apply under Early Action. Standford's early action has certain norms to be followed, you cannot apply to any other university under Early Action. Check the policy here http://admission.stanford.edu/application/decision_process/restrictive.html and also check the link given by Chetna S. You have time until Nov 1, all the best!

Princeton does not have a minimum requirement for SAT. However, a score in the range of 1500-1580 should be enough, per an unofficial source. It also considers academics, curiosity, and leadership potential of a student.

Other requirements include LORs, SOPs, Essays and transcripts of past education.  Students have to submit their applications in advance to allow enough time for processing of documents.
