Hi Harish, Eligibility criteria to pursue B.Sc. In agriculture is different for different universities. All the government university are considering an entrance exam conducted by ICAR only. Where is for your information addition Lovely Professional University is the first private University to get accreditation from ICAR. They also conduct their own entrance exam LPU NEST. This year due to the covid-19 pandemic situation across the country it was not feasible to conduct it online. Thus, LPU has relaxed their prospective students from LPU NEST. Still there admission intake and eligibility criteria is very strict. There very particular with their eligibility criteria. To get admission in B.Sc. Agriculture at Lovely Professional University candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th class and English must be studied as a subject. The demand for graduates with a degree in agriculture is increasing every day in India and abroad. B.Sc. Agriculture is a 4 year undergraduate professional course offered by Lovely Professional University. Course fees are also considerably lower in comparison to other professional degrees, while rewarding with good jobs and a better packages. The minimum qualification for entry to B.Sc (Agriculture) is Intermediate (12 years of school education) in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics) or Intermediate in Agriculture stream. Agriculture, one may also go for M.Sc Agriculture and take up a teaching job, or even go for Ph.D and build a career in the Research sector associated with the field of Agriculture. Therefore, B.Sc Agriculture offers a wide scope particularly in India where half the workforce is living on agriculture.

You need to be graduated with a recognized board in the Science stream and there are different criteria for different colleges so I will tell you about a great university for Agriculture. Agriculture has enormous potential and will never run out of work possibilities in the public and private sectors, as well as entrepreneurial chances. For recent grads, there are several governments and private career prospects. When it comes to government jobs, state agriculture departments hire agriculture graduates for officer positions. They are also hired by government banks to fill officer positions. LPU is the first private university to be accredited by the ICAR. Students are exposed to commercial farms (100 acres) and farm know-how, which allows them to engage and hone their endurance, confidence, and managerial abilities. They were also involved in 6-month full-scale cultivation practice of seasonal crops, from land preparation through harvesting and sale of the final goods, to gain agricultural expertise. Profits from group sales are completely divided among the students. The School of Agriculture faculty members have the largest number of PhDs among all faculty members at LPU.

Dear Harish LPU has external research funding worth 1.8 Million INR of the foreign university. Many students are aspiring higher studies in International Universities such as, Technical University of Munich, Germany, Leibniz Universitat Hannover, WAGENINGEN UNIVERSITY Netherland etc. Due to ICAR accreditation of LPU, large number of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, around 90% of the students got placed, among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. B.Sc. Eligibility The basic B.Sc. Course eligibility is to have at least 50% in Class XII from any recognised board. Some premier colleges ask for 60% marks. The students must have studied core subjects like Maths Physics Chemistry agriculture and Biology at their Higher Secondary level. The scope after B.Sc.
