    Hi Harish, Eligibility criteria to pursue B.Sc. In agriculture is different for different universities. All the government university are considering an entrance exam conducted by ICAR only. Where is for your information addition Lovely Professional University is the first private University to get accreditation from ICAR. They also conduct their own entrance exam LPU NEST. This year due to the covid-19 pandemic situation across the country it was not feasible to conduct it online. Thus, LPU has relaxed their prospective students from LPU NEST.     The minimum qualification for entry to B.Sc (Agriculture) is Intermediate (12 years of school education) in Science (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics) or Intermediate in Agriculture stream. Agriculture, one may also go for M.Sc Agriculture and take up a teaching job, or even go for Ph.D and build a career in the Research sector associated with the field of Agriculture. Therefore, B.Sc Agriculture offers a wide scope particularly in India where half the workforce is living on agriculture.

    Dear Harish
    LPU has external research funding worth 1.8 Million INR of the foreign university. Many students are aspiring higher studies in International Universities such as, Technical University of Munich, Germany, Leibniz Universitat Hannover, WAGENINGEN UNIVERSITY Netherland etc. Due to ICAR accreditation of LPU, large number of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, around 90% of the students got placed, among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt.     B.Sc. Eligibility
    The basic B.Sc. Course eligibility is to have at least 50% in Class XII from any recognised board. Some premier colleges ask for 60% marks. The students must have studied core subjects like Maths Physics Chemistry agriculture and Biology at their Higher Secondary level. The scope after B.Sc. Agriculture is much in research field as this sector always need innovation and technology so you can pursue Ph.D. after this and can become a agriculture scientist.

In Agriculture programme, Being alumni of LPU I would like to tell you that you should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in: (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry)+ LPUNEST
