Eligibility for Ph.D. at NCU: who has qualified for the Doctor of Philosophy Program through any National Level Test like CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
A candidate can apply online or offline. For applying offline the candidate can download the application form from the website of NCU or can obtain it from the university campus up to the last date for submission of forms specified in the Admission Notice.
Details can be checked in the Ph.D. admission brochure for a broad area in which a candidate can apply and NPET topics.
Please go to the Admission page on the university website for details and more information on Ph.D. in Gurugram.

As per my knowledge and my experience after completing M.Sc in applied chemistry, you are definitely eligible for Ph.D in applied chemistry. If you want to do Ph.D from and reputed institute, then you have to appear for NET exam, as after clearing the exam, you will get an opportunity to complete your Ph.D degree from a very highly reputed institution. Else, you can also do Ph.D without any exam, but 4 any lectureship, you have to clear this exam.

Candidates with 50% in their post graduation from any stream are eligible to do Ph.D in that particular stream. As you are doing your PG in applied chemistry, you are eligible to do Ph.D in chemistry.
