What is Environmental Sociology?

<p>A branch of sociology called environmental sociology is concerned with examining how society and the environment interact. It explores the relationship between environmental variables and human societies by looking at how social structures, cultural norms and human behaviour affect the natural world. In order to comprehend and manage a variety of environmental problems, including climate change, resource depletion, pollution and biodiversity loss, environmental sociology examines the intricate and multidimensional relationship between people and their environment. Environmental Sociology emerged in the late 1970s in response to the emergence of the environmental movement in the 19060s, to address environmental issues.</p>
