What is Executive MBA program?How it is different from distance MBA?

Hi, An executive MBA, or EMBA, is a graduate level business degree. An executive MBA program is a lot like a regular MBA program. The main difference is that an executive MBA program is primarily designed to educate working executives, managers, entrepreneurs, and other business leaders. Although executive MBA programs can vary from school to school, there are some things that remain the same. Executive MBA students are usually in the mid-stage of their career. They may be earning an executive MBA to increase their career options or simply to update their knowledge and brush up on skills they have already acquired. Executive MBA students are almost never at the beginning stages of their career.After earning an executive MBA, you could continue to work in your current position. You may be able to accept more responsibility or pursue promotion opportunities. You could also explore new and more advanced career options in your industry and within organizations that are looking for executives with an MBA education. The Executive MBA course spans over a year where the programs utilises the team approach to disburse the learning’s. The course works in groups and enables each person to learn for each other’s experiences. To pursue Executive MBA one needs to have at least 3 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree from recognized university. There are some colleges that insist on aspiring students having a post graduate degree too as a criterion. Other than this, depending on the institute’s requirements, the aspiring students would have to clear the entrance exams, the group discussions and the personal interview rounds. In distance MBA you do not have to attend the class, whereas EMBA is a full time course where attendance is compulsory.
