The Fellowship Entrance Test, or FET for short, is a qualifying/ranking test for entrance to a number of fellowship programs administered by the NBE. The FET is an entrance exam for admission to a post-doctoral FNB programme or course, and it is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The FET Test, which uses mostly zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos (minnows and Japanese medaka have also been used), is an alternative to testing for toxicity on live fish. FET stands for Fellowship Entrance Test. The ranking cum examination is conducted by NBE (National Board of Examinations) for admission to various fellowship programmes that are offered by NBE. Basically, it is an entrance exam to get admission into Post Doctoral FNB programme. FET is the only entrance test for admission to Fellow of National Board (FNB) Courses, Fellow of National Board – Post Doctoral (FNB-PD), Fellowship Programme for International Students (FPIS). The exam is conducted once a year in computer-based mode. FET 2023 exam will be held on March 3, 2024.
