hi ANU, Genetics Courses are among the most intensive and specialized fields of studies of the current century. Extensive research across countries and institutes has made genetics or genetic engineering a premier subject of study. Genetics which is more popularly known as genetic engineering, deals with studies of chromosome structures. This field of study attracts the best brains from across the globe. Careers in genetics are gradually gaining in importance because of detailed research in animal and plant forms. Research institutes across continents are engaged in finding solutions to incurable diseases like AIDS and cancer through studies in genetics, Genetics is also involved in creation of clones. Clone sheep and cows are being used for experimentations. Genetic engineering studies also try to find solution of evolution of both plant and animal life in earth. Research in genetics involves studying of RNA (ribonucleic acid) and DNA deoxyribonucleic acid) components of all living organisms.
