Hello,
B.Tech degree in Biotechnology encompasses both the biological sciences as well as the engineering aspect of Biotechnology. If yes, choose B.Sc/M.Sc Biotechnology or B.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. In any specialised field of Biotechnology. You can later on pursue your Ph.D. if interested. Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Sc. In Biotechnology as my cousin is pursuing second year now from LPU. According to my cousin, the views shared by him are:

Hello,
Out of these 2, according to me B.Tech Biotech is good as it has much good scope and jobs available than just simply B.Sc. In Biotech. B.Tech Biotech is more of a professional degree than just a B.Sc. Biotech degree. LPU is one of the best universities in India with highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs etc. It is having tie-ups with universities abroad. They have high tech labs for the benefit of students and they lay a great emphasis on the placements of students. Students are provided with scholarships etc. LPU is providing good environments and additionally Senior experts from industry and academia are invited to sh...more -
Both the programmes are good, however, B.Tech would be more suitable for the good prospective career. The graduates of the Department of Biotechnology and biosciences are essentially taught with a strong multidisciplinary approach, being trained in both applied biological sciences and applications through a rigorous curriculum, augmented by hands-on experience during internships....more

Hi,
Go for B.Tech in biotechnology. The three-year B.Sc course is conducted as any other science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc course and take up research later. The B.Tech course is the better option. Selection will be on the basis of the engineering entrance examination and marks obtained in Plus Two or equivalent examinations in science subjects. Students who pass the qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks in mathematics and as much in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biotechnology, computer science or biology taken together are eligible to take the entrance examination.
