Hello, Out of these 2, according to me B.Tech Biotech is good as it has much good scope and jobs available than just simply B.Sc. In Biotech. B.Tech Biotech is more of a professional degree than just a B.Sc. Biotech degree. LPU is one of the best universities in India with highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs etc. It is having tie-ups with universities abroad. They have high tech labs for the benefit of students and they lay a great emphasis on the placements of students. Students are provided with scholarships etc. LPU is providing good environments and additionally Senior experts from industry and academia are invited to share their wisdom, thus enhancing learning. Clinical research is becoming popular nowadays and also have a good exposure in hospitals, Clinical Research Organizations (CRO), research labs where you can work on different projects and can earn fat money. It is basically testing the safety & efficacy of innovated drug product on human beings before getting marketed. Biotech+Clinical research is a very good combination likewise Biotech + PGDMLT is also a superb combination. Clinical research gives you knowledge about what is ICH-GCP guidelines, GMP/GLP, invention of drug molecule, how to get approval for molecule & to conduct a trial, toxicity study, animal trials, documents required to conduct study, how to design trial like single/double blind/open labelled study, case-control/cohort study, phase I to phase IV trials which are firstly carried out on small number of patient, then to healthy volunteers, what are adverse reactions coming after giving test product, how to create a data, clinical data management, generating Case record forms for each participated individual and many more things. Bioinformatics mainly generates software tools to understand biological data. It is a combination of computer Science, maths, biology & engineering. Different databases are there like NCBI, Genebank, EMBL, DDBJ, UniProt, SWISSPROT, KEGG. Students who pass the qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks in mathematics and as much in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biotechnology, computer science or biology taken together are eligible to take the entrance examination. A few universities offer a five-year integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology course for Plus Two students in the Science stream. The biotechnology industry is witnessing good growth worldwide.
