Harding University had begun as a senior college in 1924 when Arkansas Christian College and Harper College had merged their facilities and assets. The university is internationally known for the following:
- Currently, Harding University has more than 4,600 students who are representing 48 states and more than 50 nations and territories in the world.
- The university has employed 328 faculty members, 65 percent of whom hold a doctoral or any other terminal degree. The university also offers a range of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs to international students.
