    Hello Vineet,
    IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the test for English language proficiency, required if you are planning to study or work abroad. The tests checks your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. The scoring system is a band system which is 0 to 9. If you applying for studies a score of 6 is usually required.     IELTS Examination stands for International English Language Testing System, it is an entrance examination score accepted by various authorities, employers, university and other institutions to check the individual's capacity to effectively communicate, write and carry operations as required in English language.     IELTS is a language based exam which test your English language if you are planning for study or work abroad then you have to give this exam which is mandatory. There are mainly two types of IELTS Academic and general IELTS and both are separated into four parts Reading, writing, speaking, listening.

In other words how best you use the language to comprehend and communication activities in your life. You have to write, listen and reading tests each 60 minuets and 15 minutes speaking test. Band score will be given from 0 to 9 band.
