    IIT Hyderabad is a well-known institution with a growing reputation. It was ranked 581–590 in the world by the QS World University Rankings 2023 and 249 in Asia in 2023. Additionally, IIT Hyderabad has made significant contributions in various fields such as developing India's first 5G patent, creating innovative solutions like a skin patch for constant drug release, and using activated jamun to remove fluoride from water. The institution has around 4,200 students and 303 full-time faculty members as of July 2023.
