Professional certifications in IT are non-degree awards made to those who have achieved qualifications specified by a certifying authority. Different types of vendors have their own certification for their hardware , software, applications products. These certifications are conducted by vendor or thier partners. Each level of Certifications has its syllabus and experience requirements. IT industries encourages professionals to undergo certification because that ensures minimum level of skills and competence in an individual . Examples of Certification are CCNA, SAP,PMP etc
