What is JEE exam and what is the difference between Advanced and Mains?

A joint entrance exam is conducted in India. Many engineering colleges accept JEE Mains score for admission. JEE Mains is the preliminary exam, those who score good marks in JEE Mains are eligible to write advanced.
IITs take admission based on JEE advance score. Around 15000-16000 get admission in
