The cutoff for IIITs vary for various branches and also category of students. Specialised branches like computer Science and electronics engineering has higher cutoff in comparison to other branches. Top-tier IIITs typically require a JEE Mains percentile of 99+, while mid-tier and newer IIITs may accept candidates in the 94 to 97 percentile range.

Compared to JEE Main 2023, the cutoff has increased by 2.45% this year. The JEE Main cutoff 2024 is 93.23 for the general category, 81.32 for EWS, 60.09 for SC, 46.69 for ST, and 79.67 for OBC. Based on the JEE Main cutoff, admission is given to 26 IITs, 32 NITs, and 33 GFITs.
