A score of 250 and above is considered as a good score in JEE Mains which is equivalent to 15000 to 35000 rank and 85 to 95 percentile. With this candidates can land on top NITs like NIT Delhi, NIT Rourkela, etc., and also qualify for JEE Advanced. Check here what is a good score in JEE Mains. This year the cutoff has increased by 2.45% in comparison to JEE Main 2023. JEE Main Cutoff 2024 for the general category is 93.23, for EWS is 81.32, for SC is 60.09, for ST is 46.69, and for OBC is 79.67. The admission is granted to 26 IIITs, 32 NITs, and 33 GFITs based on JEE Main Cutoff

Every National Institute of Technology (NIT) has a different JEE Main cutoff, which is based on a variety of variables including the volume of applications, test complexity, and the number of seats available in each engineering discipline. Because of the NITs' stellar reputation and excellent caliber of instruction, the cutoff ranks for admission to these universities through JEE Main are typically rather high. The cutoff ranks are typically lower for popular branches like Computer Science and Electronics than for less popular ones. As of January 2022, when I last updated, applicants hoping to get into NITs should aim for a JEE Main sc

The cutoff for NITs vary for various branches and also category of students. Specialised branches like computer Science and electronics engineering has higher cutoff in comparison to other branches. Similarly, JEE Main cutoff for general category candidates is higher in comparison to OBC-NCL and SC, ST candidates. Candidates can check the previous year JEE Main cutoff below for some top NITs and branches. For detailed cutoff report, candidates can check Shiksha page.

Yes, this field is considered hard. It is complex and demands high precision. There can be extreme consequences for minor errors. The overall field is extremely challenging as it requires to apply the basic scientific principles to design and develop rockets. It requires sophisticated engineering with careful material selection, and allows narrow margin for error.
