4 years agoHello Mayank, Nobody can guarantee a job to you, either government colleges or private institutions. This is legal. Though private institutions keep advertising the placements of the previous years but in small writing they do say, past performance is no guarantee for the future. Having said this, the prospects for petroleum engineering students are still quite good, at least in the near term. The renewable energy sources and industries dependent on them are improving by leaps and bounds, but importance of petroleum will still remain in the foreseeable future and in turn the jobs will be there for Diploma and degree holder.
