What is meant by Job Application when applying for job. I have sent my documents to a company and they are asking me to send Application.

What does Application mean ? Is it hand written one or the one which company provides me for what position we applying for and I need to fill. I am confused over this. Please guide me over this. The company for which I applied is impressed with my certificates and other documents. Now aksng for App.

An application for job is a formal letter citing your proposal to apply for the said job and mentioning in it your credentials. It is like a covering letter over your other documents that you have sent to the company.
