The offer and acceptance are fundamental and essential prerequisites of formation in the law of contracts. An offer is the act of the offeror to do something to the offered; that is, to another party, known as the offeree, to enter into a legally enforceable agreement. Acceptance is the act whereby the offeree accepts the terms of an offer without any amendment or addition.
