Osmania University college for Women was the British Residency for James Achilles Kirkpatrick from 1798 to 1805. It is sometimes referred to as Hyderabad Residency or Koti Residency. Durbar Hall, a historic structure constructed by the British, is also a part of it. This college has been upgraded to become Telangana State's First Women University and changed its name to "Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam" in the year 2022.
