What is paint technology? Paint technology is a sub-branch of Chemical Technology. It is a very niche branch of engineering under the Chemical Engineering. Some of the main areas of Paint Technology include oil and paint media, paint application etc. What do you study in paint technology? Paint technology is a course of study in which one studies about various ingredients used in the making of paint- raisins, polymers, pigments etc. Paint technology has a holistic approach to understanding the chemistry of the functions of each of each ingredient going into the paint and the effect on the final property of the paint. We study about the different kinds of paints, their manufacturing, the use of various kinds of paints and the techniques used for the application of paints.

Hello Yuvraj, paint technology is a discipline in which one studies about the various ingredients like resin, polymers etc. that are used in making a paint.
