There is no such thing as fixed passing marks out of 300 in JEE Main. Instead, qualification is dependent upon the cutoff percentile, which keeps varying year-wise based on variables like difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates appearing for it, and available seats.
For the general category, the cutoff percentile ranges approximately *88-90* and thus marks to score around *70-90 marks*. In reserved categories, cutoff is much lower, thereby easy qualification.
These cutoffs determine eligibility for JEE Advanced and admissions to top colleges. Always check the official cutoff for the year you are appearing to stay updated!
