WAT/PI process is pretty straightforward. As soon as you arrive, you will be given a topic or a case to write two pages on. The topics are usually common and you will not find it difficult. However interview could be a little tricky. Professors usually cover your entire application and questions. You should also expect questions from your graduation and work experience. Number of students that get through is different for different years and institutes. It is purely a function of total number of seats in individual IIMs. Typically the number is between 350 to 450.
