What is PUBDET ranking methodology?

<p>Candidates can check the PUBDET ranking methodology and rank cards below:</p><ul><li>WBJEEB prepares merit ranks based on the candidates&rsquo; score in the entrance tests. Candidates can view and download his/her Rank Card, which contains score and rank. WBJEEB does not publish any general rank/score list.</li><li>The rank shall be in the name and style of &lsquo;GMR&rsquo; (General Merit Rank).</li><li>Ranking shall be done in descending order of marks scored in the entrance test.</li><li>The below rule shall be applicable for determining the merit rank.</li><li>Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students e.g. SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PWD Rank as applicable.</li><li>Counselling/allotment of seat/admission will be done based on GMR only (not on category ranks). Category ranks are only for information to candidates.</li><li>Category ranks are generated based on information given by the candidates during online application. If during verification, any candidate&rsquo;s claim is found invalid, his/her category rank will be cancelled and the candidate will be considered in General category only with his/her GMR. Category ranks of other candidates will not be revised.</li></ul>
