Graduation degree from Recognized University.

one must be atleast graduate. Better to be PG for choosing an optional subject.

For appearing in exam for IAS you need to be a graduate and in the age bracket of 21 to 30 years. You need to give the UPSC exam, pass the prelims, then pass the mains and then get through the interview successfully. The next such prelims is in June 2011

Any degree from the authorized institution holds good to attend IAS.

EITHER YOU SHOULD BE GRADUATE IN ANY DISCIPLINE FROM GOVT.RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY OR APPEARING IN FINAL YEAR EXAM.FOR FURTHER INFORMATION VISIT UPSC SITE.
