What is qualifying criteria for NExT Step 1?

  • According to official release, candidates will have to score minimum 50% marks or half the maximum possible raw scores to qualify NExT Step 1. In each of six papers, candidates will have to score 50% marks to get it through. Candidates are unhappy with the decision and requested National Medical commission to reduce the qualifying criteria. There are also reports of students staging protest for NExT qualifying criteria. NExT score will be valid for five years. candidates who want to reappear in NExT Step 1 for improvemnet of marks, in that case the previous score will not be valid and new score will be considered.
