The RBI Grade B examination has 3 phases.
Phase 1: Preliminary Examination (Online)
- This is a qualifying exam designed to shortlist candidates for the Mains exam.
Phase 2: Mains Examination (Online)
- This is a descriptive exam that assesses a candidate's subject knowledge, writing skills, and analytical abilities.
Phase 3: Interview (Offline)
- Shortlisted candidates from the Mains exam are called for an interview.
Final Selection:
- The final selection for RBI Grade B Officers is based on the combined scores of the Mains exam (weightage varies depending on the post) and the interview.

RBI Grade B application form is released online on the official website. The application form comprises several stages that candidates have to complete successfully. The application form is not accepted until candidates pay the application fee. The admit card for RBI Grade B exam is released separately for different stages of the exam. The admit card for RBI exam can be downloaded online by logging in with registration number/roll number and password/date of birth.
