Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the Mains exam have to undergo the LPT. The test is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state. Candidates who are not proficient in the local language are disqualified. RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test assesses a candidate's proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the official language of the state for which they are applying. RBI Assistant Local Language Test is conducted in the official language of the state and comprises two components-written and spoken.
