What is salary of an E&C engineer? Is it true that recruitment of E&C has been decreased after demonetisation?

Today electronics and communication engineer jobs are very less and they are 15000 or 20000 per month as starting salary. E&C engineers are moving into software field and some are preparing for GATE and through that they are getting PSU jobs. The jobs have decreased after demonetization.
