    Shipping Industry is a good sector where one may build a rewarding career. It is an important sector, which is crucial for the growth and stability of the Global Economy. Shipping Industry generates a number of job opportunities. Marine Engineers are required by the Industry in large numbers. After the completion of the course and 6 months of sea service, one will be able to get the Class 4 Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency. After getting this certificate, one may join Merchant Navy ships as a Marine Engineer. While selecting Marine Engineering College, check whether they are approved by the Director General of Shipping

    Hello Naveen,
    Logistics through sea routes is the only viable and cheap mode of transportation in the world and now in India too. All this requires ships which in turn requires marine engineers. So over all great scope.

SVCE accepts CET exam scores for BTech and TANCET/CET scores for M.Tech course. Out of the 1,020 total seats for the BTech course, 50% are filled up through Tamil Nadu Government Department of Technical Education Online-counseling. To be noted is that the seats offered by SVCE are filled up within the first few days of counseling with significant-high cut-off marks. The remaining 50% seats are filled through management quota, as per the Govt. norms.
