what is scope for Oracle DBA (OCP)

Hi, Role involves database administration activities such as database, optimization, configuration, ensuring compliance to security standards etc. The job profiles on completion of the course include project managers, database or information management consultants, data architects, business systems analysts and designers, database administrators, information resources managers, data analysts, web specialists, software engineers, programmers, and application developers. To share, a successful Oracle Applications DBA must have these skills: 1. Outstanding Communications Skills 2. Business Degree (MBA) 3. DBA skills - Oracle certifications such as OCP and OCM. The Oracle Applications DBA must also have a good understanding of related technologies, especially Java (JDeveloper, J2EE, Apache) and Oracle Application Server. Found this useful? Oracle certifications are everything about database management. As the name says OCA is Oracle Certified Administrator and OCP is Oracle Certified Professional. OCA has to manage complete application server with respect to functioning , maintenance , fine tuning , backup , error log verification and rectification etc. Whereas OCP is responsible for only database - creation , table management etc. OCA is higher qualification than OCP. Any organization maintaining huge database (Telecom Sector , Manufacturing unit , E-Governance , Govt and Defense sector , Hospitals and Hospitality etc) are scopes for OCA and OCP.
