Abhishek, In the earlier times physiotherapy was considered only as an area of physical exercise and massage. Gradually people began to identify the benefits and importance of physiotherapy in everyday life which opened up the wide area covered by physiotherapy. Hello, The BPT course graduates are lucratively employed in areas such as hospitals, health institutes, fitness centres, private clinics. The technological advancement is rapidly growing and hence the BPT scope is on an upper trend no matter what specialisation you choose. A career in physiotherapy can lead to a variety of interesting and challenging jobs in the health care system. Physiotherapists get specialisations in the areas such as paediatrics, geriatrics, neurology, cardiorespiratory, and orthopaedics. Physiotherapists can also obtain a doctorate degree and become involved in research. Physiotherapists that demonstrate a high level of skill, knowledge and competence in their work may find many opportunities for growth, such as moving into supervisory or management positions, teaching positions, or they may decide to open their own physiotherapy clinic or service. There are many universities which offer this course, but as per my experience, I would suggest LPU as one of the best option. My brother is pursuing this course from LPU. LPU BPT is approved by IAP ( Indian Association of Physiotherapy), moreover LPU has its own hospital in which you can have practical knowledge of the same. This builds up the confidence of the student and make them more familiar with their work. LPU also has a good placement cell of this department which is not at all fake. Students can attain positions in sports training centres, health and fitness centres, hospitals, physiotherapy & rehabilitation centres, spastic societies and special schools. Opportunities also include pursuing higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. Students can also avail jobs in health insurance and medical coding companies. Dear Abhishek, The following are the prospect of the job after the BPT programme. 1 Assistant Physiotherapist 2 Researcher 3 Research Assistant 4 Therapy Manager 5 Self Employed Private Physiotherapist 6 Sports Physio Rehabilitator My friend did the BPT programme at LPU and now working as a Physiotherapist in a hospital, Keeping all these points in mind, I would say that LPU would be the best choice for doing BPT No doubt LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also meeting the latest standards. BPT is also approved by IAP (Indian Association Physiotherapist) LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech State of art labs such as orthopaedic physiotherapy, general medicine, electrotherapy, neurology provide practical learning to the students. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. Certifications from industries, Hackathons and workshops, Guest lectures, Regular educational trips, Real life live projects, Community projects, etc. All are essential and integral parts of the curriculum.
