The SEVIS fee is usuallyrequired when international applicants apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa to study or exchange in the United States.The SEVIS fee or I-901 fee then funds the programme office and automated system tracks students and/or exchange visitors, ensuring that they are able to maintain their student visa status while studying and living in the US.
