Software development is related to developing system in computers and related technologies which solve some problems of real world by automating the solution and tasks being performed by machines.
You can develop software in C. Start learning C language. Solve problems using C. This way you will be able to develop small programs early and then go on developing more complex problems by solving more complex problems . This way you will learn how to develop software.
Software is collection of small programs combined together to solve a big problem statement.
