    The main difference between TGT and PGT is the level of classes they have to teach students in. TGT or Trained Graduate Teacher teaches from class 6 to 10 whereas PGT (Post-graduate Teacher) teaches class 11 and 12.  For PGT, a master's degree in that particular subject is required unlike TGT.
