The Civil service exam is carried out by the UPSE on a yearly basis. The exam is a national level exam. All Indian citizens are eligible to appear in the exam. The basic education requirement is to have a bachelor's degree in any stream of study. The age of the candidate also must be within 21 – 30

To become an IPS officer you have to appear in civil services exam conducted by UPSC every year.
Educational Qualification :-To appear in the IPS examination you need a graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. The final year graduation student are also eligible to appear in

If 'IPS' means Indian Police Service then you must have done degree course from any recognized university.
