According to various sources, University of Melbourne has an overall acceptance rate of 70% making it less selective for international student admissions. Some of the general admission requirements for Indian students are the minimum GPA requirements along with the Grade 12 scores. The university will also accept their standardized test and English Language Proficiency scores to be considered for admission.

  • The University of Melbourne is one of the most sought - after universities among international students. It is one of the top universities in the Australia and consistently ranked highly by top ranking agencies. Every year tens of thousands of students apply for the University of Melbourne, but with an acceptance rate of 70% it is relatively tougher to get into the university. The University of Melbourne is very popular among international students.
