Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) is a recognised and accredited institution in India. It is a public university established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is listed under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. Being a UGC-recognized university means that SVVU is eligible to receive central government funding and grants.

SVVU is also recognised by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), which is the regulatory body for veterinary education in the country. The VCI is responsible for maintaining the quality of veterinary education and ensuring that veterinary institutions meet the required standards.
