What is the accreditation status of the B.Tech in computer Science programme from Lovely Professional University (LPU)?

According to the Supreme Court, AICTE approval is required only when the course is being run by an institute. Lovely Professional University is recognised by many Accreditation councils of India & thoroughly recognised by UGC in 2006. AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgement CWP2056 of 1999 titled Bharathidasan University & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. The highest stipend earned by LPU students was 1.6 Lac. The total fee for the B.Tech programme ranges between INR 9.92 Lacs and INR 15.52 Lacs This fee comprises an exam fee component of INR 4000 which is payable every semester Internationally, LPU is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs ACBSPand a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities ACU The distance education programmes are approved by the Distance Education Bureau DEB.
