The admission criteria for M.Sc. in Applied Geology at NIT Rourkela is as follows:
- The student must have a Bachelor's degree with Geology as one of the main subjects and Mathematics at +2 level.
- The student must have a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks in aggregate.
- Admission will be made through JAM or any other national level test.
- If it is not possible to admit students through JAM, admission will be made through an open selection process.
- The evaluation of candidates for the purpose of admission will be based on either Scheme A (Test plus career) or Scheme B (Career only).
