The admission criteria for M.Sc. in Biotechnology at Guwahati University includes:
1. Graduates in Biotechnology (Professional / Honours), Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
2. Chemistry as one of the pass course in case of students with a Major in Botany / Zoology.
Candidates with B.Sc./B.Tech degree in Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Zoology and other allied subjects of Biology from recognised universities can apply for the programme. The candidates are selected by a centralized Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the University during the Month of July.
