Admission to the Masters in City Planning (MCP) at IIT Kharagpur is based on a valid GATE score. The programme is open to students of all categories with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/MSc or equivalent professional degrees. Seats are reserved for OBC/EWS/SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disability (PwD) as per Government of India rules. B. Tech students graduated/graduating (final semester) from IITs having a CGPA 8.00 or above are eligible for direct admission without having to appear in either GATE.
