What is the admission criteria for the BTech programme at NIT Calicut?

<p>To gain admission to the BTech programme at NIT Calicut in 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Have a valid JEE Main score</li><li>Have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from a recognised board</li><li>Meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute.</li></ul><p>The selection process is entirely based on JEE Main scores. Candidates are selected based on their JEE Main rank and past academic records.The seats are allocated through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counseling process. The total BTech fee at NIT Calicut is around INR 2.08 Lakhs.</p>

<p>Admission to the BTech degree programmes of NIT Calicut is based on performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main), - Paper 1 and Paper 2 respectively. Candidates can appear for the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years from the year of passing Class 12. The mode of application for JEE Main is online. The basic eligibility criteria for students to get a seat in BTech programmes at NIT Calicut is Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject (compulsory) from a recognised school (candidates appearing for Class 12 exams in 2023 from any recognised board can also apply). Candidates need to visit the official NTA website to register for the JEE Main exam. After that, they need to register themselves, upload the required documents, and make the payment to finalise their registration.</p>
