The scope of this branch has been on the high in the following fields: Gene therapy Tissue culture Immunotechnologies Genetic Engineering Plant-based drugs Rational drug design Stem cell techniques New DNA technologies Photosynthetic efficiency Enzyme engineering and technology A Biotechnologist can seek a career in food processing and agro based industries, chemical and textile industries, agricultural sectors, pharmaceutical firms and manufacturing industries, research laboratories, which are run by government or private sector. Professionals can seek job opportunities in private sectors such as , pharmaceutical farms and aquaculture.
