The NITK Surathkal BTech programme accepts students based on their JEE Main score and JoSAA Counselling. In the event that seats remain unfilled following JoSAA counselling, CSAB counselling is used to fill them. In addition, candidates need to fulfil the minimal requirements, which include a minimum of 75% in Class 12 or a comparable exam.

Admission to the BTech programme at NITK Surathkal is done basis of JEE Main score and JoSAA Counselling. If the seats are left vacant after JoSAA counselling, then the seats are filled out through CSAB counselling. Apart from this, applicants must meet the minimum eligibility as well, which is at least 75% in Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
