What is the admission procedure to get admission in B.Tech? My percentage in class 10th is 6.4 CGPA.

    Well, you are still in 10th. For getting into highly advanced programme, you need to pass 10+2 with atleast 60%. If you still want to enter into any of the engineering fields just after 10th, go in for Diploma. The three year Diploma can lead you to either get a job or you can go into the lateral entry programme of B.Tech in your field. The choice is yours. In Punjab. , the best university to provide any of these programs is LPU due to its solid track record in programme development for industry and placements. Over 600 companies are regular to campus for recruitment offering anywhere between 5 to 42 lacs per annum. Hope this helps

    Dear Ashu, There are two ways to get admission in B.Tech.
    1. ). After Class 12th, B.Tech is a graduation in engineering, which is done after 12th. Minimum 60% is required in 12th with relevant subjects as per your choice of specialisation in B.Tech and there is an entrance exam as well.
    2. ). Another way to get yourself enrolled in engineering is through Diploma. As you have completed your 10th with decent scores, you can get your admission done in Diploma in engineering and that will further get your admission in engineering in second year known as lateral entry.     For admission in B.Tech, you need to clear to 12th or have to go for a Diploma in engineering after 10th class. After completing Diploma, you can get a lateral entry in some institute directly in the 2nd year.
