What is the admission process for B.Tech/B.E at Chandigarh University if I am preparing for JEE 2026?

<p>Hi.</p><p>Main route: CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test)</p><p data-start="371" data-end="539">CU's own entrance exam — CUCET — is the standard and primary gateway for undergraduate admissions (including engineering) at CU.&nbsp;</p><p data-start="545" data-end="712">All candidates (unless exempted) must register for CUCET, fill application form, pay the required fee, and appear for the test.</p><p data-start="545" data-end="712">Based on CUCET performance (merit list), seat allotment / counselling / admission happens.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p data-start="718" data-end="848">Eligibility Criteria (for B.Tech / B.E.)</p><p data-start="905" data-end="1125">You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics + Mathematics as compulsory, along with at least one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / IT / similar.&nbsp;</p><p data-start="1131" data-end="1281">Minimum marks requirement: often around 50% aggregate (or as specified) in 10+2 (or as per your category).</p><p data-start="1131" data-end="1281">Alternate admission using valid JEE Main score (or other criteria)</p><p>CU allows students to apply using a valid JEE Main score — particularly for engineering admissions.&nbsp;</p><p>However, having JEE Main alone doesn't always mean you avoid CUCET — policy may require you to follow CU's admission process depending on seat/branch/eligibility.&nbsp;</p><p>Scholarship / Merit Consideration via CUCET (or JEE Main / 12th marks)</p><p>CU gives scholarships (tuition fee waivers) based on CUCET performance (or eligibility) — up to 100% in some cases.&nbsp;</p><p>So even if you are using JEE Main for admission, performing well in CUCET (if required) or meeting CU's internal criteria may matter.&nbsp;</p><p>Seat Allotment &amp; Counselling + Document Verification</p><p>After entrance result / merit list, CU conducts counselling / seat allotment, where you choose branch (if available), confirm seat, complete document verification and pay confirmation fees.</p>
